Chesterfield Inn, also known as Chesterfield Inn and Motor Lodge, was a historic hotel located at Myrtle Beach in Horry County, South Carolina. The Chesterfield Inn consists of two three-story, rectangular buildings constructed in 1946 and 1965. The 1946 building is of frame construction with a brick veneer exterior, with an end to front gable roof, and a raised basement foundation. It is an unusual example of Colonial Revival style architecture in the Myrtle Beach area.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
The original Chesterfield was a five-room house built in 1936 by Steven Chapman of Chesterfield, South Carolina. That house burned and was replaced in 1946. Clay Brittain, whose uncle built the brick building, worked there as a teenager and became an owner in 1965, running the hotel until 1991.
In April 2002, Parkside Inn & Suites of Anaheim, California bought the inn and improved it after Centura Bank foreclosed.
By 2004, Karon Mitchell and her family owned the Chesterfield. In 2009, Mitchell announced plans to tear down the inn for a mini golf course to accompany the new boardwalk. The plan was delayed by the economic downturn, but by the end of June 2012, demolition was scheduled. People who wanted artifacts were able to collect them on June 19, 2012. The mini golf course should be open by March.[8] On August 22, 2012, the Chesterfield Inn was demolished by construction crews.

Luxurious Rooms :
The setting of our New Hampshire luxury inn takes full advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings of the Connecticut River Valley. The guest rooms at our romantic NH inn are nestled in the original house and the adjacent Johanna Wetherby Building. Judy and Phil built the Wetherby Building in 1992, naming it for the property's first owner from the late 1700's.
Gardens Chesterfield Inn :

The meadow is a mass of wild flowers. In midsummer, the grasses and flowers are waist high and sway in the breeze. There is a mown path through the meadow to explore and enjoy the summertime smell of all of the different flowers and grasses. Black-eyed Susan's and Queen Anne's lace flourish there.

The main inn is perched on the highest point of the property, with the exterior rooms and the Johanna Wetherby Building stretched across the knoll. The shape of the buildings is reminiscent of the way that old New England farmhouses were attached to the barns so that the farmers didn't have to wade through the snow to get to their animals in the cold snowy winters .
Travel in Chesterfield Inn :
From the hearty country breakfast served every morning to the sumptuous dinner served at night, food is an important part of the warm hospitality that we offer here at our New Hampshire Inn and Restaurant. The parlor, dining rooms, and terrace have exceptional views of the back meadow and the rolling hills beyond. The terrace, surrounded by perennial gardens and crab apple trees, is a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner.
Judy perfect day :
After a leisurely breakfast, we'd head out for a hike in Pisgah Park, enjoying the peace and quiet, the fresh air, and the birds singing. Then over to Brattleboro for a wander down Main Street, looking in on Sam's Outdoor Outfitter's, A Candle in the Night, the Book Cellar, Vermont Artisan Designs. When hunger struck, we'd drive up to Walpole, N.H. for a late lunch at Burdick's Café and Chocolatier, and a look around Ruggles and Hunt, the eclectic little shop around the corner.

With the afternoon winding down, we'd come back to the inn, have a nap, and wake up with enough time to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace while the sun is setting. Dinner in the candlelit dining room follows as a fitting end to the day. After dinner, we might go over to hear some live jazz at the Jazz Center, or folk music at the Hooker Dunham Theater in Brattleboro.
